Mr. Namath
Owner & Founder
The concept for Charlie & Joe’s at Love Street grew out of Joe Namath’s fondness for the Jupiter area. It’s a devotion he shares with his partner on the project, Charlie Modica. Together, the friends aimed to create a destination that inspires fun, while maintaining the area’s values and traditions.
Born in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, Namath has called South Florida home for more than five decades. A professional football player for 13 years, Namath’s charisma on and off the field made him one of the game’s most exciting, proficient, and publicized quarterbacks. In 1969, he guaranteed a Super Bowl victory for his underdog New York Jets team against the Baltimore Colts – and delivered. Super Bowl III is regarded as one of the greatest upsets in American football history.
Nicknamed Broadway Joe, Namath expanded his status from a football icon to a cultural sensation through endorsements, commercials, TV shows, the theater, and movies. He is now known for his philanthropic efforts, founding the Joe Namath Charitable Foundation, which supports children’s charities and neurological research, and also supporting the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum.
Namath’s star power will be evident in the vibrant energy at Charlie & Joe’s at Love Street.
